Brooklyn Bridge Tile, blue grotto

This tile is created with a Blue Grotto glaze. It has a rich tones of bronze and hazy blue. Surface finish is a lovely patina-like satin. This tile is a dynamic view of walking over the Brooklyn Bridge. It is inspired by an archival New York Times photo during a snowstorm. In this photo, the sky is a light gray and the silhouette of the bridge is a deeper gray. I try to emulate this tonal difference with the glaze color. There is a wire on back for hanging or can be grouted into a backsplash.
